UNION CUSTOMS CODE DISCUSSION IN THE IMCO COMMITTEE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

An initial discussion took place in the IMCO (Internal Market and Consumer Protection) Committee of the European Parliament on the Commission’s Proposal for a Recast of the Modernised Customs Code (MCC, now called UCC).
The Commission had to justify in particular the proposed deadline for implementation. The next discussions in the IMCO Committee are planned on 30 May.
